Our philosophy

At The Olive Branch Ranch we believe that there is a better way to farm than the chemical intensive farming practices that have dominated the American food system and landscape. We believe that by working with the natural rhythms of the soil, plants, and microorganisms we can grow excellent tasting food without environmental and health risks. We practice beyond organic farming.

Halal Meat…

All our meats are harvested in the most merciful way possible. We adhere to halal guidelines for harvesting all meat on our farm. Halal is the Arabic word for permissible. In order for harvested meat to be considered halal the animal must be healthy and free of defects. We believe in giving our animals the possible life and just one “bad” day. It is a responsibility and a honor to raise these animals knowing they will ultimately nourish us and our communities.
